Yesterday was our homeschool co-op day. We meet 24 weeks out of the year, August-December and January-April, a fairly typical homeschool year, if a shortened one by public school standards. I’m going to have to re-number my kids since the foster boys left, so I guess it’s good that I only made a handful of old posts with the first set. One is a 10 yom now, Two an 8 yom, and Three an 8 yof. Four left, so now my sweet 6 yof will need to become Four. Five will thus be a 5 yom and Six is also a 5 yom right now.

One has ADHD. We thought Two and Six had some variety of autism due to the extensive struggles they have with their social and educational progress, but we’re going through evaluations to try to determine exactly what to do about it. Five has some serious struggles as well, but his social abilities are superior to Two and Six. The needs of a child who is not visibly ill or physically struggling are sometimes so incongruously hard to meet.
